Catz-Kato Designs Paper Jewelry

1.2 billion people around the world - one out of every five people alive - struggle to survive on less than a $1 a day. BeadforLife is a non-profit organization in Uganda of impoverished women who make handcrafted paper beads to make a living. After paying the beaders fair trade prices for their work, all net proceeds from the sales are invested in programs that fight extreme poverty in the areas of health, housing, sustainable livelihood, and education. The beaders create georgeous handcrafted necklaces, bracelets and earrings with these paper beads.  Catz-Kato Designs is partnering with a woman in extreme poverty and providing her the opportunity to change her life, by purchasing beads from BeadforLife.  Money in her hands will go directly towards feeding her family, getting medical care, paying school fees, and saving to build a home.  I loved the beads so much, that I decided to incorporate them into my designs and spread the news of BeadforLife.  See the photo below of one of the Sets I created with these paper beads.   More paper jewelry is coming soon!
